Jane Hoffman
Jane Hoffman has been the president and chair of the board of directors of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals since its inception in 2002.
The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, which acts as a liaison between the government of the City of New York and the NYC animal care community, is a coalition of 65 NYC animal rescue groups and shelters that have joined together to reduce the killing of cats and dogs in NYC shelters.
Jane is a founding member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York's Committee on Legal Issues Pertaining to Animals. The Committee, which formed in 1990, is one of the first animal law committees in the country.
Jane has been in private practice for the last 12 years, specializing in executive compensation and estate planning. Prior to starting her own practice, she was a vice president and senior consultant at Handy Associates, a management-consulting firm and an associate at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she specialized in taxation and executive compensation.
Jane lives in New York City with her partner, four dogs and more cats than she will admit to.
