Jill Buckley

Jill Buckley joined the ASPCA in 2002 with responsibility for lobbying state legislators and key government officials in 16 western states. She is currently spearheading a nationwide effort to prevent insurance companies from denying homeowners' and renters' insurance to individuals who own certain breeds of dogs. Jill also lectures lawyers and law students in the emerging area of animal law.

A graduate of the University of Denver College of Law, and licensed to practice in California and Colorado, Jill lives in California with her husband, two rescued terrier mixes, and an adopted cat.
