	The state of New Hampshire has a remarkably low euthanasia rate. Why? Since the state implemented a publicly funded, targeted spay/neuter program, shelter intake numbers began to drop. In the first seven years, 37,000 fewer animals entered New Hampshire shelters than in the prior seven years. In addition to saving lives, the program has saved taxpayer dollars.
