Old Friends   September 27 2003 Kodiak (at right) is ready to come indoors. Some of his pals are still playing outside, but it's a warm afternoon, and he just saw some of his favorite visitors arriving with some treats. Kodiak is 14. That's getting up there for a husky/shepherd mix. When he was younger, his previous family felt he was too rowdy, so they gave him up. He was difficult to place in a good home, but very happy racing around Best Friends Dogtown with his pals. These days, Kodiak still enjoys a romp in the afternoon, but he likes his favorite comfy bed, too, and all the kisses and cuddles that come from his favorite people. There are hundreds of dogs and cats like Kodiak who are in their golden years. And they really appreciate the extra comforts and health care that you make possible. Thanks for being their Guardian Angel. |
