Kanab, UT (09/14/2006) - This time the Hogs are going to the dogs: motorcyclist enthusiasts will be roaring through Zion National Park to benefit animal rescue in southern Utah on Saturday, September 23.
The First Annual Bikers for Best Friends Poker Run is a joint effort between Zion Harley-Davidson in Washington, Utah and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
Bikers leave out from Zion Harley-Davidson between 10 a.m. and noon. The route takes them through Zion National Park; a pasta extravaganza lunch will be waiting for riders at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary from noon to 1:30 p.m. Then riders roar back to Zion Harley to be there in time for the drawing for prizes at 3 p.m.
And meanwhile, back at Zion Harley-Davidson, adoptable pets from southern Utah animal rescue groups and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary will be ready to meet their new families between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The groups participating are: Because Animals Matter, PAWS, Cedar Animal Rescue Hurrican Animal Shelter, Sadie's Safe Haven for Animals, FurEver Friends and Enoch City Animal Shelter.
